Sophie was my first Rottweiler. In those days (1990) I was working as a veterinary nurse and she was brought in by a member of the public with horrific injures (two broken legs, one so bad that the vets considered putting her to sleep) what made it even worse was she was only 6 months old. She was a complete angel all through the surgery and made a good recovery, the owner was traced by the R.S.P.C.A. but unfortunately they weren't able to prosecute.

I got so attached to her during her treatment that I adopted her, after persuading my parents that Rottweilers were NOT aggressive. (I was 18 & still living at home) Sophie was a wonderful ambassador for the breed, many people who were cautious of the breed overcame their fear thanks Sophie. I lost Sophie in 2000 to bone cancer but I have so much to thank her for, getting me involved with this wonderful breed, for giving me so much love & pleasure during her life and training me well in Rottweiler ownership!

RAVENROCK SKY DANCER

(Wannonas Tiger Moon x Ravenrock Exiting)
D.O.B. 8/9/94

My parents purchased Jodie when Sophie and I moved out because they missed having a Rottweiler so much, Sophie had converted them!!
Jodie came from Linda Sutcliffe (Ravenrock) as a 8 week old pup. Jodie was always very lively and acted like a puppy most of her life, she was quite a culture shock to us all after having withdrawn rescue dogs!
It was great to have a healthy dog with such a zest for life & food! We lost Jodie 15th March 2005 to bone cancer at the respectable age of 10½ years.

Chloe

We Rescued Chloe in May 2000, she had been abandoned at a disused farm in one of the outbuildings along with her dam & another rottie bitch. All were in a very poor condition, friends of mine took Chloe's dam & arranged a home for the other bitch, unfortunately her dam was put to sleep 11 days later with advanced lymph cancer.

Understandably the first six months with Chloe were very difficult, she had several medical conditions and wasn't easy to treat due to her lack of socialization. It was obvious that she had never lived indoors - house training was a challenge along with her chewing. Vacuum cleaners & the television were terrifying with men being a close second (not good news for my husband Dean!!)

It took a long while but Chloe changed into a well balanced, loving bitch with a real sense of humour, totally devoted to me with Dean a close second. We had Chloe for 6 good years and finally lost her this year to kidney failure, she is sorely missed.

Bow

  Ammerdown Arrow

DOB 13th July 1992

FTAW Squareclose Swank  ex  FTW Jenoren Milly

We sadly lost Bow last year at nearly 15 years old after owning him for 7 years. He had an excellent temperament, he loved everybody and everything, well except pheasants!
He is sadly missed especially by my husband Dean who's gundog he was.
