My first Rottweiler was a rescue from the local RSPCA back in 1990 (See Past Dogs page) Then in 2000 I bought my first show dog (Jade) and from the very first show i has well and truly bitten by the showing bug! I managed to drag my Mum along and got her invloved and we now to to all the shows together and she is just as hooked as I am!
We have made some great friends at the shows and we really enjoy our days out with our dogs, win or lose. Together we own five bitches and two dogs. All much loved and a pleasure to own.
I am currently on the British Rottweiler Association "B List" and occassionally judge when time permits.
We only breed when we want to keep a puppy ourselves, all parents are health tested and have excellent temperaments. All our puppies are reared in the home and well socialized from a young age with people, children and other dogs. They are all fully wormed, vet checked and microchipped before leaving us with a full puppy pack.
We do not sell our puppies for guarding purposes and keep in touch with all puppy owners for the lifetime of the dog as all our puppies are extremely important to us.
We are now temperament testing all our dogs & bitches of breeding age under the new scheme organised by the British Rottweiler Association. (all older/past breeding dogs have been temperament tested under the old scheme & passed kennel club good citizen schemes)
The test involves dogs having to pass three tests and are judged by three different assessors Each test takes approx 30 mins and include the dogs being exposed to all different noises and situations. If they pass all three the dogs are then awarded a grade of excellent.
